AnbalayA's 20th Inter School Sports Meet - 2015

DEC- AnbalayA celebrated its sports meet in two different ways. In the Morning celebrated its special school sports meet in M.P.T Ground at 10.00 A.M. on 4th September 2015.  The students from 4 teams Red, Green, Blue, and Yellow participated in track, field and team events. 250 members including parents participated in the program. Finally, YELLOW TEAM WON the overall cup. The winner of this year is yellow team of Anbalaya rural special school.

 

Afternoon Inter school sports meet was held and it started at 1.30 P.M. This year eight schools participated namely,Anbumalar, Avvai kappagam, Spastin, Kumaran, Anbalaya, Sangeetha, Dongulla, and Anbalaya Rural. They took part in track, field and team events.  300 members from different special schools attended the event. Medals, prizes, and certificates were distributed to the athletes.

 

The march past captured the attention of the guests. The Drill and Pyramid focused student’s ability. Especially the yoga by two students narrated the importance of keeping good health.

 

The chief guest appreciated the participants and motivated the parents to continue the challenges with the special children. The management thanks the corporate sponsor IOC, and other individual sponsors towards the success of the event. The efforts of staff and volunteers are big source for the sensation of the programme.


ARSS Residential

At our residential centre @ Melnallathur, Tiruvallur we inaugurated a kitchen cum dining room on 26th August 2015. District Differently abled Welfare Officer Mr. Srinivasan and Parish Priest, Melnallathur inaugurated the new building. Our heart felt thanks to all those who supported and contributed to build the building.   

Our Children @ Swimming

Under our sports training we started regular training for swimming on 1st of July 2015 @ Shanmuganar Park, near Kaladipet.

Parent Meet

The parent meeting of the special children is held at Anbalaya Special School 10.7.2015 at 2.00 pm. The Principal welcomed the group and introduce the topics of the meeting.

The main topics are

1.    The techniques of special education  - Ms. Suruthi, Spl. Educator 

2.    Vocational training - Mr. Jahadeesan, Accountant, Ex. Voc. Instructor

3.    Govt. benefits - Mrs. Arokia Mary, Principal

4.    Sports  for the special children - Mr. Prabhakaran, Secretary

  The parents thanked the management for all the information and the meeting came to an end at 4.30.pm


 

 

SCREENING CAMP @ Sugam Hospital on 19th April 2015

DEC – AnbalayA organized a screening camp for the children with needy on 19th April 2015 @ Sugam Hospital, Thiruvottiyur.  Around 100 participants with parents from various schools, Balvadis, clinics etc., are participated the event. Chief Doctor. Sathiya Kumar, Sugam Hospital interacted with the professionals and benificieries.  All the beneficiaries utilize the service according to their needs.  The beneficiary really satisfied and grasped idea for their children’s further studies and assistances.  We thank Sugam Hospital for their worth full assistance.

WORLD AUTISM DAY 2015

World Autism Day 2015 celebrated on 2nd April 2015 @ our campus. All the children and staffs are weared blue colour badges with autism logo.  They performed small events like matching, treasure and hute etc., on the stage in the assembly session. Every body enjoyed the event. They formed human chain and logo of autism on the ground. Its created more awareness to our parent and audience.

19th Annual Meet & Media Report

DEC – AnbalayA celebrated its 19th Annual Meet on 21st March 2015. The organization secretary presented the report on activities through digital display “DEC – AnbalayA 2014 -2015”.  Everybody appreciated his performance.   Children performed cultural shows in their own style. Children from AnbalayA Rural Special School also performed a dance to the audience. All the spectators enjoyed very much especially the short skit enacted by our children in between the programme was enjoyable to the audience.  Advocate Mr.  Jaya Kumar, President, Thiruvottiyur Lawyers Association, Mr. Mariya Arul Raj, Annai Builders, Mr. Ravi Kumar, Piramal Enterprises, Team of Kanivin Karam, Mrs. Suja Mathew & Law college students were the guests of honour.  We thank all our well wishers and supporters who sponsored the programme for its grand success.

 

World Women's Day

DEC - AnbalayA collabrated with Turns Pink organisation to organised a women's day awareness programme in the topic on Brest Cancer on 4th March 2015 @ campus itself. The the parent from AnbalayA, Wheel and many womens groups are attended the programme. They showed their human chain. And they reflect their throught on the feed back session. They feel it is very useful for them. Aorund 100 participated are benificited on this programme.

 

Special Olympics Young Athletes Training Programme

DEC - AnbalayA & Special Olympics Bharat Tamil Nadu jointly organised a training programme for the children with special needs in the name of Young Athletes Training Programme on 4th March 2015 @ Shanmugam Park, Thiruvottiyur, Chennai. More than 50 parent with special athlete in the age group of 2 to 7 years are participated in the training programme. Inaugurated by Dr. Paul Davasagayam, AD., Special Olympics Tamil Nadu, Special guest Mr. Arumugam, Treasurer, SOTN., Training like cricket, Tunnel ride, Basket Ball throw & foot ball etc., All the parent and chidren are enjoyed the session and also find their child's ability and interest in sports.

AMBA Computer Training - Bangalore

AMBA Centre - Banglore organised computer training for a week for the mentally challenged children on 9th to 14th Feb 2015.  Two of our special students master Praveen and Master Andrew participated in the training. They got to know about systems and how to train the trainees with special needs.  They have done their programme well and received certificates as Asst. Trainer in the programme.  Our staff Ms Suruthi led the students. The centre AMBA recognized us to organise this kind of training here itself.
