Our Events


On 23 February to 25th February 2019 with 39 students’ 17 parents and 8 teachers totally 64   of us gone to Bangalore trip for three days. We had visited different places like St. Mary’s church, vidhana soudha, Cubbon Park, fish aquarium, Museum, Radha Krishna Temple, Thippusulthan Palace, Banargatta Zoo, and lalbagh botanical garden.  It was a great exposure to all the children through which enjoyed all of them. At the end of the tour we retuned back happily it was an unforgettable days for all of us.  

Felicitation for special athletes to participate in SOWSG 2019 & Unified Sports meet on 11th February 2019.

In Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Our Tamil Nadu Governor Mr. Banwarilal Purohit was the chief guest on that day, who honoured all the special Olympics participants from Tamil Nadu who are going to play in Abudabi on 14 to 21 March 2019. Among all two of our athletes Ramya from Anbalaya special school and Tamilarasi from Anbalaya Rural special school, Tiruvallur privileged for participating in 100 meters and 200 meters running competitions also honoured to join in the Special Olympics.

         On that day with the support of Round Table & Table Ten they conducted different competitions for the differently challenged children, many schools were participated among all our students from Thiruvottiyur & Tiruvallur got 11 gold medals, 9 bronze and 9 silver medals with that happiness and joy we returned back.  Thanks to Special Olympics to organise such a wonderful programme

Pongal report @ARSS-2019

Plesent evening on 12th Jan celebrated Pongal celebration at ARSS – Tiruvallur.  Games and cultural programme are conducted. Games like sugarcane breaking, Coin in the boul, Transfer the water etc.,  All the game conducted by Blessed Secrement brothers. They came here for the internship.  At last prizes a given to the winners prizes are distributed by the special guests. Like audience neighbours, sponsors, Parents are invited.

DEC PONGAL on 11.01.2019

     Pongal celebration started in the afternoon with our Therapist Mrs. Rajammal MC. The parent and children enjoyed with lot of traditional games. They game for the children are follows as sugar care breaking; Traditional dress wearing and Urriyedithal are conducted to the students.  Prizes are given to the winning persons. 

For parents traditional food preparing game are conducted for each class in different items like Early intervention - gheer varieties, Inter medium - Soup varieties, Primary - seed food items, Secondary - Spicy items, Pre – vocational - crops varieties, Vocational- Dumplings varieties are given.  Parents prepared food items on the given topics 45 traditional food items are prepared. 


For wining parents collect prize money by our secretary Mr. K. Prabhakaran. At last parent also took part in the pot breaking game (Urriyedithal) was conducted for the parent, Mother of Thamarai Selvi broke the pot and continued by kummi singing for student and parents pongal sugar cane and dumplings was given and the programme got over.


With the support of CATERPILLER, they sponsored to buy 10 bunker cots to sleep 20 trainees confortably in the dormertary. We the DEC, thanks for their support and kindness.

CHRISTMAS @ DEC – AnbalayA - 20.12.2018

Christmas day celebration has held in our centre on 20.12.2018 at 2.00 pm. Sr.Sagaya mary had come as a chief gust for the function.  Parents and students had take part in the function with joy.  Gift are giving to the entire student by santa.  Sr. Sagayamary gave address to the gathering.  Secondary and early intervention presented a dance performance.  At 5.00 pm Christmas programme got it over.

Medical camp @ DEC - AnbalayA on 17.12.2018

Medical camp started at 10 am with the presence of CUMI HR and medical team.  At the start of camp our schools head mister’s talk.  Medical team officer has explained the propose of the camp.  Medical camp and also added that all of them must live a healthy life.  Medical check up started with early intervention continued with inter medium and added with vocational.  Doctors gave the tablets for the student and also give drinks and biscuits. They also gave ideas about the healthy life to the student’s cum parent.  The medical camp get it over at 1.00 pm.

CHRISTMAS @ ARSS, Tiruvallur - 2018

On 15.12.2018 we celebrated our Christmas day.  The function started with the prayer song sung by the teachers from ARSS.  The function continued by the presence of Fr. Pradeep priest from Rosary Church as a chief guest.  He presented sweaters for our children as the Christmas gift.  Santa Claus also had come from the same church, he gave sweet wishes to the children with dance.  After that game conducted for the parents of the children the prizes has distributed for the winning parents.  It continues by the puppet show and magic show done by the Employers from Port Trust, the children had enjoyed the show.  At last Santa cut the cake and shares the joy of Christmas to everyone.


In our centre world disability day was celebration on 08.12.2018 at 2pm. Our lady’s School Assistant head misters Mrs. Jain preside as a chief guest of the function and also Mr. Kasi vishwanathan and Mr. Tamil selvan also preside as a chief guest.  The programme starts with a prayer song. Programme stated with the Early Intervention of Inter medium class dance followed by secondary class student debate on the topic “In sports or Mass media which in essential for the students development”.  Student Thamarai, Munna, Rohith, Viveka, Vinupriya and Mega Sree exposed their skills by speaking the debate.  After the debate to expose the talent of the children from every class the student are performed their talents.  The programme was continued with the dance performance done by the student of the song ‘‘matrangal onredhan  marathada’’. At the ended the chief guest distributes the prizes to the participants.  Vocational trainees also receive their stipend on that day.  The amount received from joy of sharing conducted on 17th Nov 2018, is distributed to the student families of priyaka, Muhamad farish, Dhakesh priya and venkattamal for their development.  The vocational product has been displayed for sales. On the programme Mr. Tamil selvan had sponsored snakes on the day.

Small Scale Training Programme

At DEC – Anbalaya we organised a Small scale training for Vadagam making for the anbalaya parent cum self-help group Vadagam Training on 05.12.2018. Parents of cerebral palsy and multiple disabilities got benefited in the training.  Trainer Mrs. Meena done her job meaning fully and she thought two types of vadagam preparation.  1. Rice vadagam, 2. Ilavadagam.  Parents learned two types of preparation and they also did this preparation. Parents told these workshops were useful.
