HAND WASH CAMPAIGN

March 21, 2019 at YMCA ground, Royapetta, one of India’s largest radio stations has started the Hand wash campaign for the special kids called- IRU KAI PURATCHI. The campaign which made it to the  Asia Book of Records with the Participation around 1500 special kids. Among our children, staffs and teachers totally 57 of us participated in the event. The campaign stressed on the importance of washing hands with soap. The campaign about the issue at hand, how number of lives that can be saved when hands are washed properly and how the issue needed to be eradicated from the roots by adopting healthy habits. Our children were participated enthusiastically and did the action according to the rhythm of the song.  The highlight of the event is Mr. R.J. Balaji (Actor & Anchor in the radio & film industry) as a special invitee in the programme.

VOTERS AWARENESS RALLY

As per the advice from the District Collector and guidance of the DDAWO instruction, DEC took effort to organise a voter awareness rally on 16.3.2019 with the support of Kumaran Special School and various PWD., associations from Thiruvottiyur.  It’s started near the Vadivudaiamman temple to end at T.H Road. More than 100 participants involved in this rally. The rally was initiated to promote the awareness among the PWD’s for voting. There were slogans about the importance of voting and special arrangements to do for the disabled persons on the day of voting. Finally thanking the participants and police production the rally got ended.   

INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY

    On 12.03.2019 International Women's Day Celebration celebrated at our centre with the theme on "Come to be the woman to achieve." Special callers on that day were Mrs. KhanjaAdvocate given speech on  “strength of the women in the weakness” Mrs. Arul Thangam, from Help Line  gave a message on Help line for the women and Mrs. Indhu Mathi specified “women as a gift” in her speech. All together 100 women participated on that event. They were participated in the debate, Women’s Development is the societies Development or Women’s Development is the society’s weakness, and conducted different games for the parents and given prizes.

AWARENESS PROGRAMME

DEC collaborated with MSW internship students from Loyola College gave programme for 60 children in the tsunami quarters, municipal middle school at Thiruvottiyur for two days 27th and 28th February 2019.  The college student conducted different games, songs and dances to the children. The chief guest from High court advocate Mrs. Auxiliya was invited to give speech on education and its impact on society, menstrual hygiene and cleanliness. Finally at the end prizes were distributed for the winners. All the children were pleased by this programme and got the new messages for their life. 

BANGALORE EXCURSION

On 23 February to 25th February 2019 with 39 students’ 17 parents and 8 teachers totally 64   of us gone to Bangalore trip for three days. We had visited different places like St. Mary’s church, vidhana soudha, Cubbon Park, fish aquarium, Museum, Radha Krishna Temple, Thippusulthan Palace, Banargatta Zoo, and lalbagh botanical garden.  It was a great exposure to all the children through which enjoyed all of them. At the end of the tour we retuned back happily it was an unforgettable days for all of us.  

Felicitation for special athletes to participate in SOWSG 2019 & Unified Sports meet on 11th February 2019.

In Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Our Tamil Nadu Governor Mr. Banwarilal Purohit was the chief guest on that day, who honoured all the special Olympics participants from Tamil Nadu who are going to play in Abudabi on 14 to 21 March 2019. Among all two of our athletes Ramya from Anbalaya special school and Tamilarasi from Anbalaya Rural special school, Tiruvallur privileged for participating in 100 meters and 200 meters running competitions also honoured to join in the Special Olympics.

         On that day with the support of Round Table & Table Ten they conducted different competitions for the differently challenged children, many schools were participated among all our students from Thiruvottiyur & Tiruvallur got 11 gold medals, 9 bronze and 9 silver medals with that happiness and joy we returned back.  Thanks to Special Olympics to organise such a wonderful programme

Pongal report @ARSS-2019

Plesent evening on 12th Jan celebrated Pongal celebration at ARSS – Tiruvallur.  Games and cultural programme are conducted. Games like sugarcane breaking, Coin in the boul, Transfer the water etc.,  All the game conducted by Blessed Secrement brothers. They came here for the internship.  At last prizes a given to the winners prizes are distributed by the special guests. Like audience neighbours, sponsors, Parents are invited.

DEC PONGAL on 11.01.2019

     Pongal celebration started in the afternoon with our Therapist Mrs. Rajammal MC. The parent and children enjoyed with lot of traditional games. They game for the children are follows as sugar care breaking; Traditional dress wearing and Urriyedithal are conducted to the students.  Prizes are given to the winning persons. 

For parents traditional food preparing game are conducted for each class in different items like Early intervention - gheer varieties, Inter medium - Soup varieties, Primary - seed food items, Secondary - Spicy items, Pre – vocational - crops varieties, Vocational- Dumplings varieties are given.  Parents prepared food items on the given topics 45 traditional food items are prepared. 

 

For wining parents collect prize money by our secretary Mr. K. Prabhakaran. At last parent also took part in the pot breaking game (Urriyedithal) was conducted for the parent, Mother of Thamarai Selvi broke the pot and continued by kummi singing for student and parents pongal sugar cane and dumplings was given and the programme got over.

DORMERTARY @ ARSS

With the support of CATERPILLER, they sponsored to buy 10 bunker cots to sleep 20 trainees confortably in the dormertary. We the DEC, thanks for their support and kindness.


CHRISTMAS @ DEC – AnbalayA - 20.12.2018

Christmas day celebration has held in our centre on 20.12.2018 at 2.00 pm. Sr.Sagaya mary had come as a chief gust for the function.  Parents and students had take part in the function with joy.  Gift are giving to the entire student by santa.  Sr. Sagayamary gave address to the gathering.  Secondary and early intervention presented a dance performance.  At 5.00 pm Christmas programme got it over.
